Patient Reviews

What Our Patients Say

★★★★★

I’ve struggled with dry eyes for years and tried three other practices with no lasting relief. Dr. Kim did a thorough meibomian gland evaluation and put me on a treatment plan that actually worked. Within six weeks I was off the artificial tears I’d been using four times a day. I can’t recommend ClearView enough.

★★★★★

Brought my seven-year-old to Dr. Patel after his teacher flagged some reading concerns. Dr. Patel was incredible with him - patient, calm, made the whole exam feel like an adventure. We found a significant tracking issue that had been missed at school screenings. Starting vision therapy next month. So grateful.

★★★★★

We switched to ClearView after our previous optometrist retired and the experience has been night and day. The technology they use is far more advanced, the optical staff knew exactly what frames would work for my narrow face, and same-day glasses actually means same day - we picked them up that afternoon.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I get a comprehensive eye exam?

For adults with no known eye conditions, we recommend a comprehensive exam every one to two years. Patients with conditions like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, or a history of retinal detachment typically need annual or more frequent monitoring. Children should be seen annually during the school years, as vision changes quickly and can affect learning.

Do you accept my vision insurance?

We are in-network with VSP, EyeMed, Spectera, and MESVision. We also accept most medical insurance plans for medically necessary eye care (diabetic eye exams, treatment for ocular disease). We recommend calling our office with your insurance card before your appointment so we can verify your specific benefits.

Can I get glasses the same day as my exam?

Yes - for most single-vision prescriptions, we offer same-day lens fabrication in our in-house optical lab. Progressive and high-index lenses typically require one to three business days. If you have a complex prescription or need specialty coatings, we will give you an accurate turnaround estimate at the time of your exam.

What is dry eye disease, and how is it treated?

Dry eye disease is a chronic condition where the tear film is insufficient to keep the eye comfortable and clear. It can cause stinging, burning, sensitivity to light, blurred vision, and paradoxically - excessive watering. Causes include meibomian gland dysfunction (the most common), aqueous deficiency, environmental factors, and screen time habits. We offer in-office treatments including LipiFlow thermal pulsation, BlephEx lid debridement, and prescription therapies including Restasis and Xiidra.

Comprehensive Eye Exam

Due for an eye exam? Here’s exactly what to expect.

A ClearView comprehensive exam is more than a glasses check - it’s a full look at the health of your eyes, from refraction and retinal imaging to glaucoma screening and dry-eye evaluation, which matters more than most people realize in Tucson’s dry desert climate. See what your exam includes, what to bring, and which vision plans we accept.
